Bert was a wonderful man. He was kind, good and a lot of fun. He always had something nice to say no matter who he was with. I first met Bert and Deb when I was playing in a band called The Aardvarks. I met him and a lot of the great people of German Valley that day at what was once Dee's Valley Inn. Bert and Deb came to see us play often and we always had a lot of fun with them. Fond memories. He was a nice man and I will miss him, his warmth and his kindness. My deepest condolences to Deb, their children and all of the family. Rest in peace, Bert.
