Obituary

Virginia L. Watson, 88, of Rockford, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017. She was born on January 28, 1929, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Stanley and Edna (Vorbroker) Shafer. Virginia married Thomas Watson on July 30, 1949. She was a member of First Free Evangelical Church. Virginia loved all church work and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas; children, Kimberlee (Richard) Young of Noblesville, IN, Beth (Dave) Hugdahl of Rockford, IL and Bruce (Mary) Watson of Belvidere, IL; and grandchildren, Ben, Maryn, Breah, Tessa, Molly and Brooke. Predeceased by her parents.
Funeral Services to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Mason Christian Village, 411 Western Row Rd., Mason OH, 45040. Visitation will be from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service in the chapel. Burial at Rose Hill Cemetery in Mason, Ohio. Family prefers memorials to be made to Rockford Rescue Mission, 715 W. State St., Rockford, IL 61102.
