Beatrice "Bea" Ring, 89, of Rockford, passed away on January 25, 2018, while a resident of Fairhaven Christian Home. Born Beatrice Elizabeth Klint on January 14, 1929, in Rockford, to Swedish parents, Reuben and Tekla (Borg) Klint. She was a 1946 graduate of Rockford East High School. Bea worked as a dental assistant and later as a secretary / director of Carl Paulson Co. She married John Ring on September 23, 1949. Bea was a life-long member of First Evangelical Free Church where she was a member of Sarah Circle, Maranatha Sunday School Class, taught young girls Sunday school, and volunteered as a senior high youth group leader. She served on a mission's trip to the ‘Institut Biblique Europeen' in Lamorlaye, France and also with Kids Around the World in Cuba. Bea enjoyed serving time to time in the library at JAARS headquarters in Waxhaw, North Carolina. She was an avid reader and excellent seamstress.
Bea is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Becky (Ralph) Whitaker of Lebanon, PA; son, Jeff Ring of Rockford; two grandsons, Ben (Brittany) Whitaker of Pinson, AL, and Joel Whitaker of Lebanon, PA; two great-grandsons; sister, Miriam Palmer; sister-in-law, Carol Klint; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; and brother, Warren Klint.
One of Bea's favorite verses is Isaiah 43:1 - "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine."

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center, 3470 N. Alpine Rd., Rockford with Reverend Chuck Rife officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the services in the chapel. Private burial in Stillman Valley Cemetery.
