Ann L. Osberg, 95, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Cherryvale Place. Born on November 22, 1922, in Rockford, the daughter of Robert and Laura (Hoey) Burtch. Graduate of East High School, class of 1941. She married Stanley C. Osberg on September 21, 1942, in Rockford. He predeceased her on May 10, 1998. Ann worked as a cashier for many years at Guilford High School in the cafeteria and also at her son's catering business, Chiles Catering. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and had been attending Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Ann was an avid golfer for most of her life.
Survived by her daughter, Pam Larson of Rockford; sons, Kraig (Jane) Osberg of Kankakee, IL, and Mark (Wendy) Osberg of Presque Isle, WI and Naples, FL; grandchildren, Debra (Dan) Erwin of Rockford, Deana Collum of Rockton, Donna Oliver of Rockford, Tania (Brad) Lagesse of Bourbonnais, Ken (Chris) Osberg, of Lake In The Hills, and Eric (Emily) Osberg of Rockton; great-grandchildren, Corey and Andrew Oliver of Rockford, Ian and Sydney Erwin of Rockford, Austin and Evan Lagesse of Bourbonnais, Kyle Hopper of NJ (Coast Guard), Isac and Austin Hopper of Rockton, Nathan and Ryan Osberg of Lake In The Hills, and baby Elivia of Rockton on the way; and many nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by her parents; siblings, Walter "Buzz" (Gert) Burtch, Dorothy (Art) Smith, Robert (Fran) Burtch, and Jeannette Burtch; and son-in-law, David Larson. A special thanks to Dr. Muhammed for all her care and concern.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., Rockford with Pastor JoAnne Adrian of Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 10:45 am prior to the service in the chapel. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery.
